Benue State Governor Condemns Assassination of Prominent Health Rights Advocate

Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has condemned the brutal assassination of Chris Terfa, a renowned health rights advocate and leader in Nigeria’s development sector. The tragic event occurred on Friday evening at Terfa’s office complex on Nyesom Wike Road, where suspected assassins took his life.

Terfa was a prominent figure in the health and human rights sectors, serving as the National Chairperson of the National Key Population Health and Rights Network (NKPHRN) and Executive Director of Concerned Youth for Development Initiative (CYDI). His tireless efforts in advocating for vulnerable populations in the fight against HIV/AIDS earned him significant recognition and respect.

Governor Alia, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, vowed that the deceased would receive justice.
