Paul Onuachu Earns Praise from Southampton Manager Russell Martin

Southampton forward Paul Onuachu has impressed manager Russell Martin with his professionalism and performances on the pitch. The Nigeria international made his first appearance for the club in over a year against Getafe on Saturday, and Martin is thrilled with the striker’s progress.

Onuachu rejoined the Saints after spending last season on loan at Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor. Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, with Trabzonspor keen on signing him on a permanent transfer, Martin is focusing on the striker’s current form.

"He’s different from what we have," Martin praised Onuachu in a recent interview with Daily Echo. "He’s trained really, really well. He’s a different Paul to the one I came across last season in terms of confidence. I think the last pre-season was so difficult for so many of them."

The 27-year-old has made 11 appearances in the Premier League for Southampton since his return, and Martin is pleased with the impact he has made on the team.

As Onuachu continues to train and play for Southampton, fans will be eagerly awaiting his next move. Will he stay with the Saints, or will Trabzonspor be able to secure his services on a permanent basis? Only time will tell.
