Highlight of the Day
The highlight of the day came from the men’s basketball gold medal game, where France’s Guerschon Yabusele delivered a poster dunk over LeBron James in the second quarter. The dunk ignited the crowd at Bercy Arena and was a memorable moment in the game.
One More Thing…
South Carolina women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley and her former player, Kamila Cardoso, had a friendly bet over the gold medal women’s soccer game between the U.S. and Brazil. With the U.S. winning, Cardoso, a native Brazilian, will have to wear a USWNT jersey during the tunnel walk before an upcoming Chicago Sky game and on an Instagram Live video.
