“Ronald ‘Bee-Stinger’ Savage Clarifies Feelings on Afrika Bambaataa Sexual Abuse Allegations”

Ronald “Bee-Stinger” Savage, the artist who accused Afrika Bambaataa of sexual abuse in 2016, has made a statement clarifying his feelings on the alleged actions of the hip-hop pioneer. In an interview with Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur at AllHipHop, Savage described his relationship with Bambaataa and claimed fault for lying about his age at the time of the alleged abuse.

Savage, who was 15 years old at the time of the alleged abuse, claimed that Bambaataa did not force him to have sex, but rather, Savage was in deep depression and still dealing with the trauma as an adult. He stated, “Bambaataa is not a pedophile and, in my eyes, he was doing something that was consensual with someone that he thought was of age… I wish, back in 2016, I remembered about the fake ID. I wasn’t thinking about that I had forgot about that I was in deep depression and still dealing with the trauma as an adult.”

Savage also apologized for his actions and claimed that his intentions were to set the record straight and obtain closure. He stated, “This is something that took place 35 to over 40 years ago. This man has never been convicted of anything. Let it go. I needed to set the record straight [and get] my closure.”

Savage’s statement comes as a surprise to many, as he originally accused Bambaataa of sexually abusing him in 2016. At the time, Bambaataa denied all allegations and claimed that Savage’s story was fabricated.

It is worth noting that other accusers have also come forward, including three additional men who accused Bambaataa of sexual abuse during their adolescent years. A former bodyguard of Afrika Bambaataa also alleged that he molested “hundreds” of boys since the 1970s.

Bambaataa has consistently denied all allegations of sexual abuse and has claimed that his accusers are lying. His legal team has also claimed that there is no evidence to support the allegations.

It is unclear what will happen next in regards to the allegations against Bambaataa, but Savage’s statement has brought up questions about the validity of his original claims and the impact on his relationship with Bambaataa.
