NANS Calls on Organizations to Support Nigerian Education Loan Fund

Nigerian Students’ Association Calls on Others to Support Education Loan Fund

In a statement, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has urged other organizations, private individuals, and groups to follow the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) lead in supporting the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELF).

The EFCC had earlier donated N50 billion to the NELF, a government initiative aimed at helping students fund their education. NANS Senate President, Babatunde Akinteye, noted that many students face significant financial barriers that prevent them from achieving their academic aspirations.

According to Akinteye, the donation by the EFCC will provide a much-needed lifeline for many indigent students to complete their education. He expressed gratitude to the EFCC for their generous donation and emphasized that the loan fund will greatly assist parents who struggle to afford the rising costs of education.

Akinteye also called on other government agencies, private organizations, and well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the EFCC’s example by contributing to the NELF. He believes that together, they can ensure that no Nigerian student is left behind due to financial difficulties.

The NELF aims to provide students with the financial support they need to pursue their academic goals without being burdened by financial constraints. With the EFCC’s donation and potential support from other organizations, the fund is poised to make a significant impact on the lives of Nigerian students.

As the cost of education continues to rise, it is essential that students receive the support they need to succeed. The NELF and the EFCC’s donation are a step in the right direction, and it is hoped that other organizations will follow suit to ensure that every Nigerian student has the opportunity to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.
