Hoodlums Kill Farm Manager, Kidnap Three in Niger State Raid

A horrific attack has been reported in Niger State, where suspected hoodlums raided two farms, killing a farm manager and abducting three others. The tragic incident occurred on the outskirts of the Sabon-Wuse community in Tafa Local Government Area.

According to sources, the farm manager, whose name was not immediately disclosed, attempted to confront the armed bandits, but was shot to death. Hussaini Abubakar, the Commander of the Security Vigilante in Tafa community, confirmed the incident and said that the assailants had first abducted three people before shooting the manager.

Abubakar revealed that the manager was among those who tried to confront the gunmen, but unfortunately, he was shot to death by the bandits. The assailants, however, did not rustle any cattle from any of the farmhouses during the operation.

Wasiu Abiodun, the Niger State Police Command spokesman, also confirmed the incident, stating that two people were abducted by the hoodlums. Abiodun assured the public that the police are making efforts to rescue the victims unharmed.

The police patrol team, led by the DPO, moved to the scene, but the hoodlums had already escaped with the victims. The incident occurred at around 1:00 am on August 11, 2024, when suspected armed men attacked a residence at Angwan-Aso, near Sabon-Wuse.

During the attack, the hoodlums had an encounter with a security guard attached to a poultry farm in the neighborhood, who sustained gunshot injuries, while two victims were abducted. Unfortunately, the injured victim was taken to Umaru Musa Yar’adua Hospital in the town, where he was confirmed dead.

The authorities are still working to rescue the abducted victims unharmed.
