Nigeria’s D’Tigers Slip to 42nd in Latest FIBA Ranking

Nigeria’s Men’s Basketball Team Slumps in FIBA Ranking

In the latest FIBA ranking, released on Thursday, Nigeria’s men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, has experienced a significant drop in ranking. The former African champions have slid from their previous 39th position to the 42nd spot.

According to the ranking, D’Tigers collected 299.7 points during the reviewed month, which has affected their global standing. Despite the drop, the Nigerian team remains a force to be reckoned with, ranked sixth on the African continent.

Meanwhile, South Sudan has taken the top spot as the best-ranked country in Africa, with Cote d’Ivoire, Angola, Tunisia, and Egypt completing the top five teams in Africa.

The latest FIBA ranking marks a challenging period for Nigeria’s D’Tigers, but the team still has an opportunity to bounce back in their upcoming matches. With this setback, attention will be focused on their performance as they strive to regain their former African champions’ form.
