Speaking after the match, El-Kanemi Warriors technical adviser Aliyu Zubairu attributed the draw to his team’s missed chances. “The boys weren’t calm enough in front of goal, but I have full faith in their ability to deliver in the second leg,” Zubairu said in an interview with the club’s media.

Despite the draw, Zubairu remains optimistic about his side’s chances in the second leg, scheduled to take place in Benin Republic. “We will go to Benin Republic and secure a decisive victory, God’s willing,” he declared.
