Zamfara State Governor Commissions Newly Rehabilitated General Hospital in Kauran Namoda

The governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, has commissioned a newly rehabilitated General Hospital in Kauran Namoda Local Government Area of the state. The hospital, which serves Kauran Namoda and its neighboring communities, has been equipped with modern facilities to deliver quality healthcare services effectively.

According to a statement by the governor’s media aide, Sulaiman Idris, the hospital has been equipped with diagnostic sets, delivery beds, ECG machines, centrifuge machines, blood mixing machines, an automatic haematology analyser, an electronic weighing system, and an LED theatre operating lamp, among other equipment.

The statement emphasized the importance of general hospitals in providing advanced care, which should be accessible and affordable to the people of Zamfara State. Mr. Lawal reiterated that his administration’s primary focus is revitalizing the deteriorating infrastructure and addressing the problems across all sectors of the state’s economy.

The governor revealed that the decision to develop a transformation agenda with six pillars, with health being the third pillar, was guided by the understanding that revitalizing hospitals is essential to ensure that quality healthcare services are available to the people, regardless of their location or status.

The hospital’s renovation is part of the state government’s efforts to improve the health sector by investing in renovating and upgrading hospitals and primary healthcare centers across the state. The project scope included the complete renovation of the hospital, providing 32 kW of steady solar power, installing 25 streetlights, and supplying essential medical equipment.

Mr. Lawal expressed his confidence that the successful completion of this facility will enable the people of Kaura Namoda and neighboring towns and villages to access affordable and quality healthcare services.

With this commissioning, the state government is committed to providing quality healthcare for all residents of Zamfara, regardless of their location, status, or income. The project demonstrates the state government’s dedication to improving the lives of its citizens and addressing the healthcare needs of the people.
