Jason Carter praises Kamala Harris as a leader in Jimmy Carter’s legacy

Jason Carter: Kamala Harris Embodies Jimmy Carter’s Legacy

In a heartfelt statement, Jason Carter, the grandson of former United States President Jimmy Carter, has declared that Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris embodies his grandfather’s legacy. Carter made the announcement on Tuesday at the United Centre in Chicago, the venue of the Democratic National Convention (DNC).

According to Carter, his grandfather’s legacy is not measured by fame, recognition, or awards, but by the lives he has touched and the good he has done. He emphasized that Harris carries his grandfather’s legacy, knowing what is right and fighting for it. Carter proudly stated that his grandfather, Jimmy Carter, is eager to vote for Harris.

The DNC is underway, with prominent figures expected to join the bandwagon of Harris and her Vice President nominee, Tim Walz. Among those expected to participate are former US President Barack Obama, US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Governor of Illinois JB Pritzker, and Governor of New Mexico Michelle Lujan Grisham, among others.

In related news, bomb threats were allegedly made at some hotels near the convention, but NBC News has reported that the threats have been cleared by the Secret Service. The DNC 2024 Joint Information Centre issued a statement, assuring the public that law enforcement continues to assess and investigate all threats and reminds the public to report any suspicious activity directly by calling 911.

On Monday, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke at the convention, saying that Harris would “defend” the democracy and constitution of the US. Clinton emphasized that Harris would lower costs for hard-working families, open the doors wide for good-paying jobs, and restore abortion rights nationwide.

As the Democratic National Convention continues, attention remains focused on Harris’s presidential bid and her commitment to upholding the values of her predecessors, including Jimmy Carter.
