Tinubu Congratulates Outgoing Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola

President Bola Tinubu has extended congratulations to Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as he retires from his position as Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN). Justice Ariwoola’s successful career as a judicial officer is a testament to his dedication and commitment to public service.

In a statement released by President Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, the President commended Justice Ariwoola’s remarkable leadership of the judiciary, acknowledging his significant contributions to enriching Nigerian jurisprudence and strengthening the country’s legal system.

Before his elevation to the Supreme Court in 2011, Justice Ariwoola had served as a Justice of the Court of Appeal in Kaduna, Enugu, and Lagos divisions. His extensive experience in the judiciary has undoubtedly positively impacted the nation.

The outgoing CJN was sworn in as the head of the judiciary in 2022. In this role, he has served the nation with distinction, upholding the principles of justice and the rule of law.

As he begins his new chapter, President Tinubu has expressed his appreciation to Justice Ariwoola and wishes him the very best for the future.

President Tinubu will also soon swear in Justice Ariwoola’s successor at the State House Council Chambers on August 23, 2024, signaling the continuation of the country’s commitment to judicial excellence.
