NDLEA Chairman Urges Unity, Patriotism to Achieve Nigeria’s Greatness

Lagos, Nigeria – The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier General Buba Marwa (retd.), has emphasized the importance of unity and patriotism in achieving Nigeria’s greatness.

Marwa made this call in his keynote address at the 40th anniversary and reunion of the Nigeria Military School 1984 set and 32nd Passing Out Platoon Association held in Abuja.

According to him, the NMS was a microcosm of Nigeria, where brotherhood, unity, and love of country were instilled in its students. He expressed concern over the challenges facing the country, including ethnic and religious divisions, urging Nigerians to remain committed to a united Nigeria.

The NDLEA boss congratulated the 1984 set on their achievements, noting that their success was a testament to the quality of training they received at the NMS. He encouraged the alumni to continue to provide leadership and be positive influences in their communities, stressing the importance of passing on the values of the NMS to younger generations.

Marwa emphasized that leadership and vision were key to overcoming Nigeria’s challenges and achieving greatness. He called on the NMS alumni to continue to be good ambassadors of the institution and uphold its motto of discipline, knowledge, and patriotism.

In his remarks, President of the NMS 84/32 POP, Dr. Augustine Benni, commended Marwa for honouring the invitation to attend the 40th anniversary celebration. Benni added that Marwa’s leadership qualities were a shining example of discipline and patriotism.

The event was attended by the Special Guest of Honour, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (retd.), the President, NMS 84/32 POP, Dr. Augustine Benni, and other distinguished guests.
