Ngwa Rangers Threaten to Recall Rep Munachim Alozie Over Absenteeism

Ngwa Rangers Threatens to Recall House of Representatives Member

A socio-political group known as the Ngwa Rangers has threatened to recall Munachim Alozie, a House of Representatives member for Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency, citing his noticeable absence from duties and public eye. The group also accused Alozie of failing to address local concerns and jeopardizing democratic integrity.

According to a press release by Kingsley Ihesiaba, Publicity Secretary of Ngwa Rangers, the group is dissatisfied with the representations they have received from their lawmakers in Abuja. They alleged that Alozie is frequently attending funerals and church dedications while neglecting his primary responsibilities.

“Hon. Alozie is frequently mentioned in various publications for attending funerals and church dedications, either in person or through representatives. This diversion from his primary responsibilities–lawmaking and advocating for our community–highlights a severe neglect of his duties and a disregard for the democratic principles that underpin our nation,” the press release read in part.

The group emphasized the importance of active and dedicated representation, asserting that a petition should be written calling for the recall of Alozie from the House of Representatives.

In response to the calls for his recall, Alozie claimed that his critics are unaware of his modest achievements and highlighted his work on the House of Representatives committee on Recovery of Public Funds, successfully recovering money for the Federal government despite minimal media attention.

The Ngwa Rangers’ move has sparked renewed debate about the performance of lawmakers, with many calling for improved representation and accountability.
