Nigerian Air Force Chiefs Urged to Intensify Efforts Against Criminals
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has called on Air Component Commanders to continue their relentless pursuit of excellence and commitment to duty, emphasizing the need to hit criminals harder until they are no more.
According to Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information of the Nigerian Air Force, the CAS made this call during a virtual meeting with all Air Component Commanders on August 26, 2024. The CAS directed the Commanders to intensify their efforts in ongoing operations, commending them for their outstanding performance in ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
The CAS highlighted the critical role the Commanders have played in eliminating key terrorist leaders, disrupting activities by oil thieves and pipeline vandals, and safeguarding key national assets. He noted that their dedication and tactical efforts have led to a series of successful missions, and urged them to remain vigilant and continue leveraging intelligence, precision strikes, and collaborative efforts with sister services to neutralize remaining threats.
The CAS reassured the Commanders that the NAF leadership remains fully committed to their welfare and the provision of needed resources and equipment to enhance operational capabilities. He expressed confidence in their ability to deliver on their mandate, stressing that the nation’s security and peace are paramount.
The Nigerian Air Force has made significant progress in its operations, and the CAS’s call to intensify efforts is a clear indication of the service’s commitment to protecting the nation from criminal activities. As the battle against crime continues, the Nigerian Air Force is poised to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.
