O.J. Simpson’s Remains Turned into Jewelry for His Children
In a unique and emotional tribute, O.J. Simpson’s four children have transformed their father’s remains into jewelry. According to TMZ, Simpson’s lawyer, Malcolm LaVergne, revealed that the children, Sydney Brooke Simpson, Jason Simpson, Justin Simpson, and Arnelle Simpson, chose to honor their father’s memory by turning his ashes into wearable artifacts.
LaVergne disclosed that the full process, which included cremation, jewelry creation, and retrieval of the death certificate, cost around $4,243.06 to complete. Interestingly, LaVergne himself was not interested in receiving any of the cremation jewelry, as he is now the executor of O.J. Simpson’s estate.
As previously reported, O.J. Simpson, also known as “the Juice,” passed away at age 76 after battling cancer. The family issued a statement on Twitter during the time of his death, saying that Simpson succumbed to his battle with cancer and was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
In the aftermath of his death, Fred Goldman, Ron Goldman’s father, filed a creditor’s claim against O.J. Simpson’s estate, seeking $117 million in connection with a wrongful death suit stemming back to 1997. The legal document claims that Simpson’s estate owes Goldman $117,041,675.27, which has accrued interest since then.
The legal document states that the Claim Amount will accrue interest at the daily rate of $26,402.3630 until paid, after July 25, 2024.
O.J. Simpson’s story is a complex and controversial one, marked by his high-profile murder trial and subsequent wrongful death lawsuit. However, his children’s decision to turn his remains into jewelry serves as a poignant reminder of the enduring impact of his life on those who loved him.
