The license marks a significant step towards realising Flutterwave’s vision of a financially connected Africa, driven by its CEO, Olugbenga ‘GB’ Agboola. In a statement, Agboola emphasized that the future of Africa lies in its ability to seamlessly connect people, businesses, and economies through technology.

With over 78% of its citizens under the age of 35, Uganda’s digital payment landscape is undergoing a transformation, providing an unprecedented opportunity for enhanced financial inclusion and digital innovation.
