John Cena’s Fear: Never Being Ready to be a “Great Parent”
John Cena, the American actor and wrestler, has recently opened up about his biggest fear – being an unworthy parent. In an interview with Club Shay Shay, the 47-year-old revealed that he doubts his ability to invest the necessary time to be a great parent.
Cena, who has been married twice without having kids, explained that his biggest fear is not being personally ready to take on the responsibilities of parenthood. “My biggest fear is I don’t think I’m personally ready, nor will I ever be, to invest the time it takes to be a great parent,” he said.
The wrestling star went on to say that he has a lot to do and still wants to achieve more in his life, making it difficult for him to prioritize being a parent. “I have a wonderful partner, and we’ve had open conversations about this. We share the same values,” he said.
Cena’s hesitation to become a parent may stem from the fear of judgment from others. He believes that people tend to judge those who are not parents, but he operates under the notion that everyone is okay with living their lives.
The actor’s current partner, Shay Shariatzadeh, whom he married in a private ceremony in Tampa, Florida, on October 12, 2020, shares his values and has also had open conversations about their future together. Both of Cena’s marriages have ended without producing children.
Despite his reservations about parenthood, Cena expressed his happiness with where he is in life. “I’m very happy with where I stand. I’ve a lot of joy and fulfillment in my life,” he said.
In the end, Cena’s fear is a personal one, and it’s his choice to make regarding his future with his partner. Fans and admirers of the wrestling star can only hope that he will find happiness in whatever path he chooses to take.
