Reality TV Couple Credits Big Brother Naija with Strengthening Their Relationship

In a recent virtual interview, Zinwe, the ‘No Loose Guard’ pair from Big Brother Naija, revealed that their experience on the reality show had a profoundly positive impact on their relationship. The pair, comprising Zion Ogiefa and Chinwe Elibe, were evicted from the show on Sunday, but not before they had the opportunity to reflect on their time in the house.

During the interview, Chinwe expressed gratitude for the experience, stating that it had taught them how to handle situations better. "Going into the show has impacted positively on our relationship. Now, we know how to handle situations better," she said. "If we hadn’t been on the show, we would have our real-life issues and would have handled it differently and probably even broken up earlier."

Zion echoed Chinwe’s sentiments, highlighting the importance of learning to navigate challenging situations. "The Big Brother Naija show was definitely a learning experience for us, we have learnt patience and resilience," he said. "I had good relationships with most of the people in the house, so, it was not a bad experience, rather, it was a fun and learning experience. I got to engage with people I didn’t know before, learning about new culture."

Despite facing rocky days in the house, the couple assured their fans that their relationship remains strong. Zion emphasized that their bond was not built solely on their experience on the show, stating, "We didn’t start the relationship based on BBNaija, so, it won’t end on the show." He also acknowledged that having rocky days is a normal part of any relationship, saying, "We also understand that having rocky days in relationship is normal, if there are no rocky days, it means the relationship is not healthy. The rocky days were learning process."
