Nigerian Defence Academy Announces Temporary Road Closure and Traffic Diversion

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has announced a temporary road closure and traffic diversion in the vicinity of Rigachikun – Kawo – Mando – Afaka on August 30. The temporary closure will take place between 07:00 am and 11:00 am.

According to Maj. Mohammed Maidawa, the Academy’s Public Relations Officer, the road closure is necessary to ensure the safe conduct of the "Endurance Run" exercise, which is a key training program for all first-term Army, Navy, and Air Force cadets of the NDA. The exercise is part of the annual "Exercise Camp Initial" program.

The affected areas include the Nigerian Army Command Engineering Depot, the Nigerian-Turkish International School Junction in Rigachikun, Kawo Fly Over, Mando, and Afaka. Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes during the affected hours.

The NDA apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and seeks the understanding and cooperation of the general public.

It is essential for motorists to plan their journeys in advance and be aware of the temporary road closure and traffic diversion to ensure a smooth and safe journey.
