Kwara United to Play Home Games at Ilorin Stadium, Chairman Reassures Supporters

Ilorin, Nigeria – Kwara United, a Nigerian professional football club, will continue to play their home games at the Kwara State Sports Complex in Ilorin, according to the club’s chairman, Kumbi Titiloye.

Titiloye made the statement in an effort to quash rumors suggesting that the stadium was no longer fit to host Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matches. The stadium was previously listed among seven facilities banned from hosting league matches.

However, in an interview with the club’s media team, Titiloye emphasized that Kwara United will indeed continue to play their home games at the Kwara State Stadium, reaffirming the confidence of the team and its supporters.

"The government has taken necessary steps to renovate and repair the facilities to meet the required international standards set by the NPFL," Titiloye said. "I want to assure our loyal supporters, fans, and football enthusiasts in Kwara that our home games will be held at the Kwara State Stadium, as previously announced."

The reassurance comes as a relief to the team’s fans, who had been concerned about the possibility of games being moved to other venues.
