Mo’Nique and Lee Daniels Reunite for New Horror Flick "The Deliverance"

After years of feuding, Mo’Nique and Lee Daniels are back working together on the new horror film "The Deliverance". The director and actress famously fell out during the press run for "Precious", the Academy-Award winning film that earned Mo’Nique an Oscar for best-supporting actress.

In a recent interview, Daniels expressed his regret over the feud, stating, "And that meant forgiveness, that meant apologizing, even if I didn’t understand what I was apologizing for. I had to understand that she was hurt, and that is my sister, and that I love her."

The film, inspired by true events, tells the story of Ebony, a single bi-racial mother with three children, who moves her recovering addict mom Alberta into their new house to help take care of the kids. As Ebony faces scrutiny from a social worker, the family must also battle a demon that is possessing the kids. The film also stars Andra Day, Glenn Close, and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor.

"The Deliverance" is available in theaters today and will be available on Netflix August 30.
