Nigerian Musician Rema Donates N150 Million to Christ Embassy Church

In a heartwarming display of gratitude, Nigerian international musical celebrity, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has donated the sum of N150 million to Christ Embassy Church, Benin City, Edo State. The Edo-born musician made the generous donation during a thanksgiving service at the church’s Edo Regional Headquarters.

Rema, who was in the state for the celebration of Edo@33, performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the 6,000-capacity Edo Dome and a musical concert at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, both at the invitation of the state government. In appreciation of the church’s support for his family during a difficult period in his childhood, Rema made the donation.

The international musical artist recounted the role the church played in his family’s life after the loss of his father when he was just eight years old. He spoke of the church’s pastors, Pastor Joy and Pastor Thomas, who opened a shop for his mother, enabling her to take care of the family and feed them during a difficult time.

Rema’s donation included pledges of N40 million to the church’s infrastructural development, N20 million to the Rhapsody of Realities publication, and N25 million to the church, where he grew up in the teen church. Additionally, he pledged N20 million to assist all the widows in attendance at the service.

Rema’s generosity is a testament to the impact the church had on his life and his desire to give back to the community that supported him during his childhood. The donation is also a demonstration of his gratitude to God for the blessings he has received in his life.

This story highlights the power of gratitude and the impact that a community can have on an individual’s life. Rema’s story serves as an inspiration to others, reminding us that giving back to those who have supported us is an important part of living a life of purpose and gratitude.
