New CEO for BM Security: Michelle Morgan Brings Media Expertise to the Table

Nairobi, Kenya – In a significant move, private security firm BM Security has appointed former TV anchor Michelle Morgan as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Morgan takes over from Neil Morgan, who has served in the position for the past eight years and will now assume the chairmanship role.

With over seven years of experience in the security services industry, Morgan brings a unique set of skills to the table. Prior to her appointment as CEO, she served as the Executive Director of BM Systems, the technology division of BM Security. During her tenure, she was instrumental in driving the company’s digital transformation initiatives, positioning BM Security at the forefront of technological advancements in the security sector.

Morgan’s impressive media career is a testament to her ability to adapt and thrive in new environments. She has worked for some of Kenya’s leading media houses, including Royal Media Services, Mediamax Network Limited, and Ebru Africa. Her experience as a TV anchor, including a stint as the lead anchor for the 1PM business news, has honed her skills in communication, leadership, and strategic planning.

The appointment of Morgan as CEO comes at a time when the private security industry in Kenya is growing rapidly. According to the Private Security Regulatory Authority, there were 763 licensed private security firms in the country as of February 2024. G4S dominates the local market share with 19 percent, followed by KK Security, Security Group, and Patriotic.

BM Security’s decision to appoint Morgan as CEO is a strategic move to leverage her expertise in technology and media to drive growth and innovation in the company. With her extensive experience in the security services industry and her background in media, Morgan is well-positioned to lead BM Security into a new era of success.
