Blackface Calls for Reunion of Defunct Plantashun Boiz Group

Nigerian music legend, Augustine Amedu Obiabo, also known as Blackface, has made a fervent plea for the revival of the Plantashun Boiz, a critically acclaimed music group that ceased to exist over a decade ago. The group, which consisted of Blackface, 2Face (now known as 2Baba), and Faze, was a pioneer in the Nigerian music scene.

In a recent post on his Instagram page, Blackface expressed his longing for the group’s former camaraderie, imploring his former bandmates to join him in reuniting the Plantashun Boiz. Emphasizing the importance of unity, Blackface invoked the power of togetherness, stating that "Unity is strength and not division."

The ‘Hard Life’ crooner also enlisted the support of fans, urging them to plead with 2Baba and Faze to answer his call to reunite. Blackface’s desire for a Plantashun Boiz reunion is undoubtedly fueled by his passion for music and his commitment to spreading love and unity through his craft.

The Plantashun Boiz originally disbanded in 2004, following the release of their sophomore album ‘Sold Out’. Although the group reunited for a third and final album, ‘Plan B’, in 2007, it ultimately led to another disbandment.

As music lovers around the world await the possibility of this iconic group’s reunion, Blackface’s call has sparked a wave of curiosity and nostalgia. With his plea for unity, Blackface has reignited the flame of hope that one day, the legendary Plantashun Boiz will take the stage once more.
