APC Chieftain Boasts of Sweeping Local Government Election Victory

APC Chieftain Boasts of Taking Over Abia State in 2027, Wants National Body to Conduct Local Election

In a bold declaration, Ndubuisi Emeh, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abia State, has claimed that his party is on a mission to take over the state in 2027. Emeh, who spoke to ABN TV after a recent stakeholders’ meeting, stated that the APC will sweep the upcoming local government election in the state, a testament to the party’s dominance.

According to Emeh, the Labour Party (LP) is not a popular force in Abia State, having only capitalized on the Obidient wave to win the 2023 governorship poll and other elective seats in the state. He drummed support for APC leaders in Abia State, including Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, emphasizing that his party is positioning itself to take over the state in 2027.

Emeh specifically stated that the APC will "take Abia State come 2027," adding that the party will win all available seats in the upcoming local government election. He also called for a national body to conduct the election, arguing that local government autonomy has not been given to the state.

In a veiled critique of the LP, Emeh questioned whether the party is truly popular in Abia State, pointing to its reliance on the Obidient wave. He emphasized that the APC’s popularity is evident in its strong showing in previous elections and its commitment to development in the state.

As the APC continues to consolidate its grip on power in Abia State, it remains to be seen whether Emeh’s bold predictions will come to fruition.
