Ice Spice’s Manager Responds to Allegations of Mistreatment by Cleotrapa on Y2K Tour
The feud between Ice Spice and Cleotrapa has taken a new turn, with Ice Spice’s manager, James Rosemond Jr., entering the conversation to address the allegations of mistreatment made by Cleotrapa on the Y2K Tour.
Cleotrapa had accused Ice Spice of being "calculated" and only inviting her on tour to clean up her image after her text messages disparaging Nicki Minaj were leaked. She also claimed that Ice Spice gave her only a one-day notice prior to agreeing to the trek and that she was not "taken care of" during the tour. However, Cleotrapa allegedly had to come out of pocket for nearly all of her expenses and was mistreated.
Rosemond stepped in to clarify the situation, saying that his team gave Cleotrapa an opportunity and that the onus is on her management team to decide if agreeing the tour would be a rational decision. He also tweeted that headliners can be generous and help offset some costs for openers, such as providing transportation and production crew assistance.
In a series of tweets, Rosemond also revealed that he has been in contact with Cleotrapa’s team, who he claims know that Cleotrapa is 100% wrong. He also insinuated that Cleotrapa was going "viral for clout" when a private phone call to speak on differences could have been had instead.
Ice Spice herself addressed the matter on Spaces, saying that crashing out is sad and that the scary part of fame is when someone feels like they can no longer use their platform or get what they want out of a situation. She also relayed that she is noticing a pattern.
The feud between Ice Spice and Cleotrapa continues to unfold, with Rosemond’s statements adding a new layer of complexity to the situation. As the two artists and their teams continue to trade barbs, it remains to be seen how the situation will ultimately play out.
