BPR Bank Rwanda Fosters Entrepreneurial Growth with Norrsken House Session
In a bid to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Rwanda, BPR Bank Rwanda recently hosted a session at Norrsken House Kigali, bringing together entrepreneurs and banking professionals to facilitate conversations and knowledge sharing. The initiative, launched three months ago in partnership with Norrsken, aims to provide SMEs with access to financial services and expertise.
During the session, BPR Bank Rwanda introduced several products designed to support entrepreneurs and employees, including the Goal Account, a savings tool that can automatically deduct money from an account to help individuals reach their set savings goals. Another key product discussed was Invoice Discounting, a solution for businesses waiting for payments on public sector contracts.
Arsene Ibambasi, Senior Manager of SMEs at BPR Bank Rwanda, acknowledged the ongoing challenge of collateral for SMEs, but emphasized the bank’s efforts to address this issue through partnerships and initiatives such as the Business Development Fund (BDF).
Abraham Agustine, Communications and Programs Leader at Norrsken, highlighted the importance of the session in bringing together entrepreneurs, banking professionals, and experts to facilitate knowledge sharing and networking. He noted that the conversations from the session may lead to concrete partnerships and collaborations, ultimately bridging the gap between having an idea or a small business and taking it to the next level.
The session at Norrsken House Kigali demonstrates BPR Bank Rwanda’s commitment to supporting the growth of SMEs in Rwanda. With over 70 branches and more than 40,000 SMEs under their guidance, the bank is well-positioned to provide entrepreneurs with the financial services and expertise they need to succeed. As the bank continues to innovate and adapt to the needs of SMEs, it is likely that we will see even more success stories emerge from this partnership.
