At least seven people have lost their lives and numerous others are struggling in hospitals, sparking a mounting sense of concern and anxiety among residents and authorities.

Reports confirm that the outbreak is affecting several communities, including Malori, Maikintari, Dilmari, Kirikasamma, and parts of Baturiya village, prompting swift action from healthcare officials. Director of Administration and General Services, Idris Gambo Abubakar, who is also acting chairman of the council, pledged to provide full assistance to tackle the issue. "The situation is being closely monitored by health authorities, and efforts are being made to contain the outbreak and prevent further deaths," he emphasized.
