Historic Refinery Commencement Celebrated by Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers
The Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has congratulated the Dangote Refinery on the historic and landmark commencement of production of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) or petrol. In a congratulatory letter to the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the union described the feat as "a monumental step forward" for Nigeria’s energy independence and economic growth.
The union is aware of the potential opportunities this development will bring, including employment for Nigerians, socio-economic prosperity, and monumental growth of the country.
