The Weeknd Unveils ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’, the Culmination of His Trilogy

The highly anticipated next project from The Weeknd has finally been revealed. The Toronto-based superstar took to social media on Wednesday (September 4) to share a chilling new trailer that gives fans a glimpse into his inner monologue. The album, titled “Hurry Up Tomorrow”, is the culmination of his trilogy, following “Dawn FM” (2022) and “After Hours” (2020).

The dramatic trailer features a black background with large red text scrolling throughout, detailing The Weeknd’s emotional journey. The lyrics explore themes of self-discovery, trauma, and existential crises, with The Weeknd reflecting on his experiences and struggles. The trailer sets the tone for what promises to be a deeply personal and introspective album.

According to a press release, “Hurry Up Tomorrow” aims to represent the creative apex of the project, serving as the third and final chapter crafted with existential and self-referential themes. The album is expected to be a culmination of The Weeknd’s artistic evolution, showcasing his growth and maturity as a musician.

In addition to the album campaign, The Weeknd is also set to open his Halloween Horror Nights experience at Universal Studios and perform a one-of-a-kind concert experience in São Paulo. The livestream of the latter will begin on September 7 at 8 p.m. and can be viewed here.

The four-time Grammy winner’s last full-length offering, “Dawn FM”, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 148,000 album-equivalent units sold. The album featured singles like “Take My Breath”, “Starry Eyes” by Mike Dean, and “Out Of Time”, as well as guest appearances from Lil Wayne and Tyler, The Creator.
