Acer Unveils Powerful Gaming Laptops and Desktop at Global Press Conference
In a significant announcement, Acer has launched a range of powerful gaming laptops and desktops, packed with advanced features and capabilities. The new devices boast specifications such as Intel Core 14th generation or AMD Ryzen 8040 series processors, Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics processing units (GPUs), and liquid cooling systems to deliver optimum gaming performance.
Among the new devices, the Acer Nitro V 16 and Nitro V 14 gaming laptops, as well as the Acer Predator Orion 7000 desktop, are particularly notable. The Nitro V 16 features a 16-inch IPS WQXGA display with a refresh rate of 180Hz and 400 nits of peak brightness, while the Nitro V 14 boasts a 14.5-inch IPS WQXGA display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 300 nits of peak brightness.
The Acer Predator Orion 7000 desktop is powered by next-generation Intel Arrow Lake processors, paired with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPU. The desktop also features a Predator CycloneX 360 system fan and a 360mm CPU liquid cooling system, which improves cooling efficiency by up to 15 percent.
The Acer Nitro V 16 and Nitro V 14 gaming laptops come with up to 2 TB NVMe SSD storage, with the Nitro V 16 featuring a single USB Type-C port that supports Thunderbolt 4, DisplayPort, and USB charging, as well as two USB Type-A ports. Both laptops are backed by a 57Wh 4-cell battery, with the Nitro V 16 weighing 2.5kg.
In addition to its gaming laptops and desktops, Acer has also unveiled its first-ever handheld gaming PC, the Acer Nitro Blaze 7.
The new devices are priced competitively, with the Acer Nitro V 16 starting at $1,299.99 (approximately Rs. 1,10,000) and the Acer Nitro V 14 starting at $1,099.99 (approximately Rs. 92,000). The Acer Predator Orion 7000 desktop’s pricing has not been revealed yet.
All the laptops with Nvidia GPU get AI-powered DLSS 3.5 technology, which brings ray reconstruction – a technique that further enhances the quality of ray tracing. Additionally, they also come with Copilot in Windows 11 for AI-related tasks, and the Nvidia ADA Lovelace GPU architecture enables over 600 AI-accelerated apps and games.
With its latest lineup of gaming devices, Acer is poised to offer gamers a superior gaming experience, with advanced features, powerful performance, and competitive pricing.
