Chris Bassey Leaves Nigeria’s Entertainment Industry for Plumbing in Canada

Popular Nigerian movie producer and actor Chris Bassey has left the entertainment industry to pursue a new career in plumbing, he revealed in a recent live chat with Daddy Freeze on Instagram. During the conversation, Bassey emphasized that his new profession not only pays better than tech jobs but also provides a more relaxed lifestyle.

Bassey’s surprise departure from the entertainment industry raised eyebrows, with Daddy Freeze asking him about his decision to leave the industry despite his fame. Bassey attributed his decision to the higher earning potential and more laid-back lifestyle offered by his new career.

“When you’re in construction, it’s not like someone can just take your place. You have to know how to do the job, and it’s physically demanding,” Bassey said. “In the last seven months, the province I’ve visited just on weekends in Canada, even people doing tech jobs won’t be able to afford it. Here, I don’t know about the UK or US.”

The sudden shift in Bassey’s career has sparked interest, with many wondering what drove him to leave the entertainment industry. The plumbing career, which Bassey says pays better than tech jobs, has become his new focus, allowing him to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle.

The live chat provided a glimpse into Bassey’s new life in Canada, where he seems to be thriving in his new profession.
