Arewa Leader Blasts Faceless Group for Alleging Rivers Crisis Link to Edwin Clark

Musa Saidu, a prominent leader of the Arewa initiative in the South, has lashed out at a mysterious northern group, Arewa Youths for Peaceful Coexistence, for accusing Chief Edwin Clark of being involved in the political crisis plaguing Rivers State. Saidu denied the existence of the group, describing them as "faceless" and "sponsored" to undermine Chief Clark’s reputation.

Chief Clark, a renowned national leader, has consistently stood for truth and unity, according to Saidu, who has a deep personal connection with the statesman. As a close friend of the north, Chief Clark has fought for everyone’s interests, particularly during the establishment of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

"It’s a faceless group trying to hurl insults, they don’t know they’re attacking the wrong person," Saidu said, pointing out that Chief Clark worked alongside Chief Harold Dappa-Biriye to establish NDDC through the South-South People’s Conference (SSPC). "Chief Clark fights for everybody, and as somebody close to him, I know him very well," Saidu emphasized.

As the leader of the Arewa Initiative for Peaceful Co-existence in southern Nigeria, Saidu condemned the faceless group for attacking Chief Clark, the respected elder statesman. He questioned the existence of the group, claiming there was no name mentioned in their publication and that the organization did not actually exist.

Saidu urged calm and unity, underscoring Chief Clark’s patriotism and commitment to Nigeria’s development. The group’s accusations, he suggested, were a desperate attempt to mislead the public and create divisions in Rivers State.

In conclusion, the controversy surrounding Chief Clark highlights the importance of factual information and responsible reporting in shaping public opinion. The credibility of leaders like Chief Clark is crucial in these divisive times, and we should strive to uphold their good names and reputations against malicious attacks.
