Davido Under Fire for Mocking Ex-Wife of Music Producer Israel DMW
Nigerian musician Davido has sparked a controversy after he mocked his logistics manager Israel DMW’s estranged wife Sheila Courage in a viral video on social media. According to reports, Israel married Sheila on October 20, 2022, but the couple parted ways in less than a year due to alleged domestic violence and infidelity.
Davido’s comment on the marital issues came to light while he was boarding his newly acquired private jet with Israel. In the video, the musician is heard saying that Sheila ‘is regretting now’.
Nigerian music producer Samklef has lashed out at Davido for his lack of empathy and morals in the wake of the controversy. Taking to his official X handle, Samklef said that Davido’s action is unacceptable and that the singer lacks morals. Samklef, who questioned the singer’s behavior, drew a parallel between his actions and the behavior of fellow musicians Wizkid and Burna Boy.
According to Samklef, Wizkid and Burna Boy would never engage in the kind of behavior that Davido demonstrated. Samklef believes that Davido’s statement reflects a lack of maturity and empathy. He even took a jibe at the singer’s private jet, saying that happiness does not come from material things and that the singer needs mentorship and counseling.
