Speaking in a video circulating online, the Abia North senator revealed that he’s been forced to adopt a more frugal lifestyle amidst the current economic hardship.
According to the video, Kalu cited difficulties in fueling his private jet as the main reason for his decision to grounded it. He chose instead to opt for commercial flights, which he deemed to be a more economical alternative. Furthermore, he expressed his intention to use commercial flights for his scheduled engagements.
The senator noted that he has been looking for alternative ways to channel his resources, given the challenges posed by the constant rise in the price of aviation fuel, otherwise referred to as Jet A1. In a remarkable step, Kalu contracted the use of his private jet to an oil company.
