In a recent meeting with the Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMCN) and the Health Records Officers Registration Board (HRORBN), the academic team of the Iconic Open University, Sokoto, reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining high academic standards and adhering to regulatory guidelines across all programs.
The meeting, attended by the Registrar and CEO of NMCN, Faruk Abubakar, and the CEO/Registrar of HRORBN, Babagana Mustapha, in Abuja, aimed to enhance the university’s Nursing Science program and ensure compliance with the Council’s requirements and global best practices in training and practice.
The Director of Academic Planning at the Iconic University, Anas Sanusi, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to achieve excellence in healthcare training. Sanusi highlighted the university’s recruitment of professionals and deployment of modern facilities since the inception of academic activities in 2023, which have significantly improved teaching and learning processes.
The meeting with HRORBN focused on strengthening the collaboration between the two parties to ensure rigorous monitoring of the university’s Health Information Management (B.HIM) program. The board expressed its enthusiasm and commitment to working with the Iconic Open University to uphold high standards in healthcare training.
