Motorola Razr 50s Leak Reveals Affordable Foldable Smartphone Specifications

Motorola is expected to launch a new foldable smartphone, the Razr 50s, which is said to be an affordable version of the standard Razr 50. The smartphone’s specifications have surfaced on a benchmarking platform, revealing details about its chipset, RAM, and operating system.

According to a report, the Motorola Razr 50s will feature 8GB of RAM and run on Android 14. The handset was spotted on the HDR10+ certification website and Geekbench 6 cross-platform benchmark site. The processor is said to have eight cores, with four performance cores clocked at 2.50GHz and four efficiency cores capped at 2.0GHz. Although the chipset was not revealed, it is speculated to be the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC, which also powers the Razr 50 globally.

In Geekbench tests, the Motorola Razr 50s scored 1,040 and 3,003 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. These numbers are significantly lower than those of the Razr 50 Ultra, which scored 1,926 and 4,950 points. However, the scores are similar to those of the standard Razr 50. The handset also scored 889 in the single precision test, 887 in the half-precision test, and 1,895 in the quantized test.

The Motorola Razr 50s is expected to join the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra in the company’s flagship lineup of clamshell-style foldable smartphones. With its affordable price tag and impressive specifications, the Razr 50s could be an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers looking for a high-end foldable device.

The Motorola Razr 50s is yet to be officially announced, but its specifications and Geekbench scores suggest that it could be a compelling offering in the foldable smartphone market.
