Breaking News: Nigerian Comedian Ali Baba and Wife Welcome Triplets Via IVF

In a shocking turn of events, Nigerian comedian and actor Ali Baba and his wife, Mary Bassey-Akpobome, have welcomed triplets via in vitro fertilization (IVF). The couple, who have two adult daughters from a previous relationship, had always wanted a son.

In an exclusive interview on the Leadership Podcast, Ali Baba shared the fascinating story of how they came to decide on IVF and how the process unfolded. According to the comedian, his wife had always wanted a son and had discussed the possibility of expanding their family with him.

"We have the triplets via IVF; one truth is the nest becomes empty after the children leave. All of them have left and are all graduates, two in the UK and two in Canada, all doing well and she had said she wanted to adopt two or three to take care of," Ali Baba explained.

The couple decided to undergo IVF, and after the second embryo split into two, they were shocked to discover they were expecting triplets. Ali Baba revealed that the doctor didn’t want to tell him the news initially, saying "When she and the doctor realised that it had become three, they didn’t want to tell me."

The surprise was later confirmed when pictures and videos from the baby dedication ceremony circulated on social media in the following month.

The arrival of the triplets has brought joy to the couple, who are over the moon to welcome their new additions. As a seasoned comedian, Ali Baba has always been known for his witty remarks and hilarious skits, but this time, it’s all about the new chapter in his life as a father of triplets.

We at Media Talk Africa wish the happy couple all the best as they embark on this new journey and congratulate them on their new arrivals!
