Tinubu condoles Akwa Ibom over passing of Governor’s wife

Condolences Pour in as First Lady of Akwa Ibom State Passes Away

President Bola Tinubu has extended his deepest condolences to Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom state on the sudden passing of his wife, Pastor Patience Umo Eno. According to a press statement released by the state Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, the First Lady died on September 26, 2024, at a hospital, surrounded by her family.

In a statement on behalf of the Federal Government, President Tinubu commiserated with the Eno family, the government, and the people of Akwa Ibom state, expressing his sadness at the loss of a dedicated first lady who had supported her husband’s administration. President Tinubu praised Pastor Patience Eno for her humility, resilience, and loyalty, as well as her tireless efforts through her "Golden Initiative for All" to serve the people and residents of Akwa Ibom state.

The President acknowledged that through her selfless service, Pastor Eno had a profound impact on the state, inspiring future generations. He also expressed his confidence in the strength and resilience of the grieving family and friends, offering his support and reassurance during this difficult time.

As Akwa Ibom state mourns the loss of their beloved First Lady, the international community joins in sharing condolences with the Eno family and the people of Akwa Ibom.
