Akpabio Mourns Death of Akwa Ibom First Lady, Patience Eno

President of Senate Commiserates with Akwa Ibom Governor over Death of First Lady

In a condolence message, the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has expressed his deepest sorrow over the untimely death of the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno. Akpabio, who signed the message on Friday, commiserated with Governor Umoh Eno and his family, offering his heartfelt condolences.

According to Akpabio, he was immensely saddened by the death of the governor’s wife, describing her as an exceptional woman whose kindness, compassion, and dedication to her family and the people of Akwa Ibom State will never be forgotten. He noted that her support and partnership with the governor throughout his journey were invaluable, and that her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift the people of the state.

The Senate President’s condolence message reads: “Your Excellency, my dear brother and Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your beloved wife, Her Excellency, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno. My heart goes out to you and your family during this incredibly difficult time.”

Akpabio also expressed solidarity with the governor and his family, saying that the people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, the Senate, and the 10th National Assembly stand together in their grief and offer their heartfelt condolences. He prayed that God will grant the family the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.

The news of Mrs. Patience Umo Eno’s death was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Ini Ememobong, in a statement early Friday morning.
