HMD Moon Knight Smartphone Reportedly in the Works
In a recent development, rumors have emerged that HMD is working on a new smartphone, reportedly dubbed the Moon Knight. The news comes alongside a set of expected features, which have been shared by a tipster. While HMD has yet to confirm the existence of the handset, the leaks provide a glimpse into the device’s potential specifications and design.
According to the leak, the HMD Moon Knight may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The smartphone could feature a full-HD+ pOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, a quad rear camera unit, an aluminium frame, and support for 5G connectivity. Additionally, the device may come equipped with a dual speaker unit and POGO pins, which could allow for customizable accessories.
The design of the HMD Moon Knight is said to be similar to that of the HMD Fusion, which was unveiled at IFA 2024 earlier this month. This design is expected to support additional functionalities through customisable accessories. Notably, the HMD Fusion features a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, an IP52-rated build for dust and splash resistance, a 6.56-inch 90Hz HD+ screen, a 108-megapixel dual rear camera unit, a 50-megapixel selfie shooter, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging, all for a starting price of EUR 249 (roughly Rs. 24,000).
While the HMD Moon Knight’s existence has not been officially confirmed, the leaks provide an exciting glimpse into the device’s potential features and design. As more information becomes available, we’ll be sure to bring you the latest updates on this developing story.
