Investigative Hearing into Bobrisky’s Alleged Bribery: VeryDarkMan Readies Additional Evidence
A tense standoff has unfolded at the House of Representatives’ investigative hearing, as social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, has expressed his readiness to present additional evidence against popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky. The hearing is centered around VeryDarkMan’s allegations that Bobrisky bribed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million.
VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, spoke on behalf of his client during the hearing, stating that the additional evidence has not been released online. Adeyanju emphasized that VeryDarkMan is willing to assist the committee, but only if Bobrisky and the EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukayode, are present. The activist had previously vowed not to speak at the hearing due to the absence of these individuals, saying, “I will not say anything until Bobrisky and EFCC chairman are present. If I say anything, let me die.”
The controversy surrounds an audio released by VeryDarkMan, in which Bobrisky allegedly claims that the N15 million was meant to aid the EFCC in dropping money laundering charges against him. Bobrisky also claimed that his godfather ensured he did not spend his six-month sentence in Kirikiri prison. However, Bobrisky has denied the allegations, describing the audio as fake.
The House of Representatives had invited Bobrisky, VeryDarkMan, and the EFCC Chairman for the investigative hearing, which is ongoing at the National Assembly. The outcome of the hearing is expected to shed light on the allegations and provide clarity on the situation.
