Kwankwaso Blasts PDP, APC: ‘Dead Party’ and ‘Out of Touch’

Nigeria: NNPP Leader Criticizes PDP and APC, Cites Growing Hunger and Insecurity

Kano, Nigeria – In a stinging critique of the nation’s political parties, the national leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, dubbed the Peoples Democratic Party "dead" and the All Progressives Congress "disconnected" from the concerns of everyday Nigerians. Speaking during the party’s National Executive Committee meeting, Kwankwaso lauded the NNPP’s rapid growth, citing it as a viable alternative for the country’s political future.

"Despite the challenges, our party is the fastest-growing party in the country," Kwankwaso noted. "When I visited Katsina State, I mentioned that the PDP was dead, and now I’m sure they will agree that the party is imploding."

He also criticized the APC for being "disconnected" from the current realities of Nigerians, who are grappling with escalated insecurity, abject poverty, and widespread hunger.

"The party is performing very, very badly, especially when you look at the issues of security, the level of poverty in the country, and the menace of hunger that we are currently witnessing," Kwankwaso said.

During the meeting, the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Ajuji Ahmed, urged Nigerians to prioritize doing what is right and work together to build a better future. Meanwhile, National Secretary Dipo Olayoku encouraged party members to actively participate in local government elections to increase visibility and strengthen democracy.
