Lookman Leads Atalanta to 3-0 Champions League Win

Atalanta Crush Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0 in UEFA Champions League Clash

Atalanta secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in their UEFA Champions League match at the VELTINS-Arena on Wednesday night. The Italian side dominated the game, with Ademola Lookman playing a key role in their triumph.

Lookman, who has been in impressive form this season, opened the scoring in the 21st minute, combining with Switzerland international Berat Djimsiti to find the back of the net. The 26-year-old was at it again just before halftime, doubling Atalanta’s lead with a goal assisted by Saed Kolasinac.

Raoul Bellanova added the third goal for Atalanta just three minutes after the break, further cementing their lead. Lookman’s impressive display was capped off by a goal and an assist, but he was replaced by Matteo Retegui on the hour mark as Atalanta looked to manage the game.

The win takes Atalanta to the top of their Champions League group, and they will look to maintain their momentum when they host Scottish Premiership champions Celtic in their next match.
