According to Osiyemi, the diversion will take place between 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 6. Motorists are advised to use the diversion route, which involves taking the service lane from National Stadium gate to link Barracks to access their desired destinations. This route is specifically for motorists from Eko Bridge, Costain, and Iponri inbound Ojuelegba.

Osiyemi emphasized the importance of patience during the brief closure of the bridge, which is part of the state’s traffic management strategy to prevent further accidents and loss of lives. The installation of the truck barrier is aimed at enhancing road safety and reducing the risk of accidents.

Motorists are urged to plan their journeys accordingly and avoid the affected areas during the night traffic diversion. With this measure in place, the Lagos State Government aims to minimize disruptions and ensure a smoother commute for all road users.
