As a child of 14, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, also known as Pastor Odumeje, got involved in armed robbery on the dangerous streets of Onitsha, Anambra State. However, his life took a drastic turn when his mother introduced him to the path of salvation and guided him to Christ.
According to a viral video where Odumeje shared his story with his members, growing up on a tough street pushed him into a life of crime. Despite his criminal activities, his mother played a crucial role in his transformation. In the video, Odumeje stated, “I was born in Onitsha city, No. 3, Nnewi Street, and I grew up in a dangerous street. I became an armed robber at the age of 14. I became a terrorist. Until Jesus Christ arrested me through the help of my mother to change my life. And a destroyer became a saviour.”
Odumeje’s journey from a life of crime to Christianity is a testament to the power of redemption and the impact a parent can have on a child’s life.
