Ayra Starr Bags Four Nominations for 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards

Famous Nigerian songstress Oyinkansola Aderigbigbe, known professionally as Ayra Starr, has made a remarkable achievement by bagging four nominations for the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards. The prestigious award ceremony, now in its 30th edition, is set to take place on November 10, 2024, at Manchester’s Co-op Live in the UK.

Ayra Starr’s nominations are in the categories of ‘Best African Act’, ‘Best Push’, ‘Best Afrobeats’, and ‘Best New Artist’. Other Nigerian musicians, including Tems, Burna Boy, Asake, and Rema, are also vying for the ‘Best Afrobeats’ award. South African artist Tyla has secured four nominations, including ‘Best New’, ‘Best Afrobeats’, ‘Best African Act’, and ‘Best R&B’.
