Senate Critic Warns of Plot to Sabotage Nigeria’s Government

In a stark warning, a prominent senator in Nigeria, Mohammed Ali Ndume, has accused certain individuals of working to undermine the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to Ndume, these individuals are pushing for harsh reforms and bad policies, exacerbating the country’s economic woes and making life unbearable for the majority of Nigerians.

Ndume, who represents Borno South in the National Assembly, expressed concern over the astronomical increase in fuel, food, and essential goods and services prices, which he believes is unaffordable for the average Nigerian. He emphasized that many families are barely scraping by, struggling to meet their daily needs due to hyperinflation caused by the constant price hikes.

In a statement, Ndume appealed to President Tinubu to resist the negative influence of these individuals, who he believes are trying to pit the people against his administration. He urged the President to prioritize addressing the economic crisis and address the issues before they get out of hand.

Ndume also lamented the hardships faced by Nigerians, stating that many families can no longer afford to feed, and those who can are forced to add transportation costs to their product prices, making it impossible for people to access basic necessities. He stressed that President Tinubu means well for Nigerians, but warned that he should not allow a few bad advisers to destroy the country.

The senator’s warning comes as the country continues to grapple with economic challenges, including fuel and food shortages, and rising costs of living. His words of caution serve as a stark reminder of the urgency to address these issues, ensuring that the government can effectively serve the needs of its citizens.
