Breaking: Ogun State Councillorship Candidate Gunned Down in Broad Daylight
Tragedy struck Abeokuta South Local Government in Ogun State, Nigeria, with the brutal murder of 40-year-old Adeleke Adeyinka, the All Progressives Congress (APC) councillorship candidate. According to reports, Adeyinka was shot dead at around 12:30 pm on an unreported location, leaving his family and the community shook.
Eyewitness accounts reveal that a group of armed men, believed to be cultists, arrived at the scene in an unregistered Toyota Corolla sport car, armed with a pump action shotgun and a pistol. Speaking on the incident, Omolola Odutola, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed that Adeyinka’s body had been taken away for burial without undergoing an autopsy or medical examination.
