Francia’s Star Player Kylian Mbappé Defends Night Out with French Coach Didier Deschamps
France’s head coach Didier Deschamps has dismissed any notion of tension between him and star player Kylian Mbappé, following the 22-year-old’s reported appearance in a Swedish nightclub on the same evening that France defeated Israel 4-1 in a Nations League match. “Is it bad? Is it good? It can be good or bad for others. One should not see the evil everywhere either. I don’t want to defend him just for the sake of defending him, but it is his private life, but the thing is that for him there is no such thing as a private life, because everyone knows where he is,” Deschamps said.
Mbappé has been sidelined due to injury, with Aurélien Tchouaméni taking the reins in his absence. Tchouaméni echoed Deschamp’s views, saying, “Everybody is free to think what they want, but we know that every time something is about Kylian it goes out of proportions…Those close to him got to speak with him before and after the game, he watched the game, and the location from where he watched it does not really matter to us.”
Tchouaméni will again lead France on Monday as they face Belgium in Brussels, with the attention turning to the off-field drama surrounding Mbappé. While some may question the timing of the 22-year-old’s night out, Deschamps and Tchouaméni seem united in their assessment that it poses no issue for the team or their captain. As the saga continues to unfold, one thing is certain: the world will continue to watch with bated breath as the drama surrounding France’s golden star continues to captivate the globe.
